During an assumption of command ceremony here June 11, Lt. Col. Susan Garrett, commander, 193rd Special Operations Mission Support Group, presented the guidon to Lt. Col. Keith Littlewood, appointing him as the new commander of the 193rd Special Operations Logistics Readiness Squadron.

“He brings a broad background and has also spent a majority of his career in LRS,” said Garrett. “This made him an obvious selection as commander of the squadron.”

Littlewood began his military career as an Army National Guard soldier. He enlisted as an Airman in the 193rd Special Operations Wing in 1991 and later commissioned in 1995. In April 2000, he became the chief of supply of the wing. A year later, he was assigned as the installation deployment officer. In January 2010, he transferred to the 193rd Special Operations Force Support Squadron as the squadron operations officer. Prior to his appointment as LRS commander, Littlewood served as Deputy of Human Resources – Air.

During the ceremony, Littlewood thanked leadership for entrusting him with their most important asset: the Airmen.

“I will endeavor to work every day to maintain that trust and confidence you have in me,” Littlewood said to wing leadership. “To the Airmen of LRS: I’m home … it’s truly an honor to be your commander.”
