Staff Sgt. Rachel Loftis, a public affairs specialist with the 193rd Special Operations Wing, Middletown, Pa., completes a lyra workout, also known as aerial hoop - the art of performing acrobatics using a hoop connected to the ceiling. Loftis first pursued aerial acrobatics while stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, which she attributes to the robust local “circus community” there and the desire to find a fitness program that was effective and held her interest.
