Fostering a state-country partnership
Brig. Gen. Tony Carrelli (front right), adjutant general, Pennsylvania National Guard, and Lt. Gen. Jonas Vytautas Zukas (front left), chief of defense of Lithuania, share a laugh Oct. 15 during a tour of the PANG's Combined Arms Collective Training Facility at Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville, Pa. The PANG and Lithuanian officials spent the day fostering a state-country partnership that began in 1993. While on post, the distinguished guests received tours of the PANG joint emergency operations center and various training facilities. They also got an in-depth look at the PANG’s unmanned aerial vehicle fleet and Advanced Joint Terminal Attack Controller Training System, which provides realistic battlespace scenarios that prepare Airmen for field missions.
