Air Force Outstanding Unit Award ribbon
The Air Force Outstanding Unit Award was authorized by Department of the Air Force General Order 1, signed Jan. 6, 1954. A bronze V device is worn on the ribbon to denote an award for combat or direct combat support actions. Oak leafs and oak leaf cluster are also authorized for subsequent awards.
