MIDDLETOWN, Pa. -- Girl Scout Brownie Troop 11062 and its leaders visited the 193rd Special Operations Wing here recently to donate Girl Scout Cookies to Airmen at the Wing and overseas.

As a token of the wing's gratitude, Col. Chris Dutton, 193rd Special Operations Mission Support Group commander, took the troop on a tour, which included a presentation highlighting the wing's mission.

The presentation consisted of many pictures of Airmen working in their different career fields here and overseas. Dutton described some of those career fields and explained to the troop what the 193rd SOW does.

"I'm grateful when I get the chance to highlight the outstanding work of the women at the 193rd," said Dutton. "It sends an inspiring message to young girls that the sky's the limit in the Air National Guard."

Following the presentation, Dutton led the group out to the flight line where he conducted a tour of a C-130 aircraft. Aircrew members showcased the various important functions located in the front of the aircraft.

Afterward, Dutton escorted the group off of the flight line. The Brownie's said their goodbyes and leaders expressed their thanks.

"We are so proud of you and thank you for your great service to our nation and to the world," said Katherine Pierich, troop leader. "Even though you may be a world away at different times, know that you are in our hearts and minds."
