During an assumption of command ceremony here Aug. 11, Brig. Gen. Mike Regan, Deputy Adjutant General - Air, presented the guidon to Col. Terrence Koudelka, appointing him as the new 193rd Special Operations Wing commander.

“He has proven that he is a selfless leader with no agenda other than taking care of the mission and our Airmen,” said Regan. “I have no doubt whatsoever that he’s the right guy to take command of this very impressive wing.”

As Commander, Koudelka is responsible for training and readiness of 1,900 combat-ready Airmen and seven uniquely modified EC-130J aircraft, which provides Military Information Support Operations, Electronic Attack and Special Operations Forces Mobility in support of Unites States Special Operations Command and Air Force Special Operations Command.

Before taking on this role, Koudelka previously served as the 193rd SOW vice commander.

“It’s an honor and privilege to be standing before you, and be trusted to command this world-class special operations wing,” said Koudelka. “I can’t say it enough, I am sincerely humbled to be here.”
