Col. Mike Cason, 193rd Special Operations Wing commander, addressed members of the wing during a "town hall" meeting May 20 on base. A "town hall" meeting for military members typically refers to a mass briefing where a top leader relays important mission-related information to unit members.

Cason began by talking about the wing’s mission statement and his priorities. The commander’s top priority is to get the mission done and bring people, airplanes and equipment home. Other priorities include taking care of Airmen and families as wells as properly training and equipping Airmen.

Cason then discussed some of the challenges the wing faces. A few of these challenges include promotion paperwork, lodging for members and infrastructure improvements. Cason also mentioned some ways these challenges are getting resolved. For example, a new PaANG form 75 will be used to help speed up promotions.

“This is your wing. Bring things to us and we will work to improve them,” said Cason. “We will lead the way for the National Guard.”
