Ground breaking for new buildings
Brig. Gen. Eric G. Weller, Commander, 193rd Special Operations Wing, Darcia North Wind, President, Northwind Engineering and Col. David J. Smoker, Commander, 193rd Mission Support Group turn the first shovels of dirt at the groundbreaking ceremony, Tuesday, Mar. 15, 2011, for the two new buildings to be built at the 193rd in Middletown, Pa. Air Force Special Operations Command approved funding for the construction of the Mission Support Kit Storage Building, which will be used to build, store and inspect deployable equipment for Commando Solo aviation tasking, as well as the Deployed Aircraft Ground Response Element (DAGRE) Training Facility, which will be utilized as a Security Forces training area for combat skills training, build-up and storage for rapidly deployable DAGRE team equipment and gear.
