MIDDLETOWN, Pa. -- During an assumption of command ceremony here Oct. 22, Lt. Col. Susan Garrett, 193rd Special Operations Mission Support Group commander, presented the guidon to Lt. Col. Angela Stateler, appointing her as the new 193rd Special Operations Force Support Squadron commander.

"Lt. Col. Stateler is a determined leader, always ensuring that the wing's Airmen have support available for them," said Staff Sgt. Shawna Kennedy, human resource specialist, 193rd SOFSS. "I believe she will always have my back and stop at no point to make things right."

Stateler previously served as the A1 director of manpower and personnel for the Pennsylvania Air National Guard during unit training assemblies and currently holds this as her full-time position during the week.

"I recognize the tremendous responsibility, and I am prepared to take on this role as the FSS commander," said Stateler.
