Col. Adam Marshall assumed command of the 193rd Combat Operations Squadron, State College, Pennsylvania, during an assumption of command ceremony held at the unit March 11.

As squadron commander, he is responsible for the training, development and mentorship of all combat operations squadron personnel, and for delivering combat power through the unit’s air operations center.

Marshall previously served as the chief of combat operations and has been with the unit in State College since December 2002.

He has deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and the preceding mission to Operation Inherent Resolve.

“Adam brings a breadth of combat operations knowledge and experience to his squadron. He leads a unit of professionals who contribute daily to the Commonwealth and nation’s defense. His leadership is key as he leads the COS into the future,” said Col. Mike Cason, 193rd Special Operations Wing commander.
